Hello dear supporters, friends, and colleagues from all over the world...
You are the best and the greatest, and I thank you very much for your standing and support in these difficult circumstances we are going through in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war (October 7th).
When the war started, life turned black in our eyes. Everything changed in moments. We were forced to leave our homes and dreams behind and live as displaced people in tents and shelters.
One of the tough experiences that cannot be imagined is sleeping in one of the shelters, which for us is a school, where 6000 displaced people are accommodated with only two bathrooms.
Thus, the situation is very tragic. Diseases are spreading, such as hepatitis, lice, scabies, gastrointestinal infections, influenza, chickenpox, and many other diseases that continue to appear among the displaced.
What makes the situation more dangerous is the collapse of the healthcare system in Gaza. Therefore, there is no chance of treatment or survival in case of contracting any diseases...
We are here to die for sure. We may die from killing, hunger, disease, or perhaps die from suppression and a bad psychological state due to the events we are going through that are difficult for the human mind to imagine.
After that, we moved to live in displaced people's tents, where the tents are made of nylon that does not protect us from the cold of winter or the heat of summer, in addition to the insects and rodents that fill the place, which made us prone to skin diseases and respiratory diseases.
Unfortunately, we have reached a crossroads where we must choose the paths that suit us to die slowly...
I previously tried to regain myself and return to work as a freelancer online by launching this campaign, through which I sought to open a source of income for myself and my family by purchasing a laptop, providing electricity through installing a solar power system and its necessary equipment, and extending an internet subscription to help me work...
Thanks be to God/ Alhamdullah and thank you all for your generous support. I have purchased solar panels, but I still need to complete the necessary equipment...
On the other hand, we recently experienced one of the airstrikes, in which my daughter (Rula) and my husband (Ramez) were injured. I initially received news of their martyrdom, so I experienced the bitterness of loss and profound sadness. In those moments, I questioned myself intensely:
why expose my life and the lives of my children to danger here?
Is Gaza safe enough for resilience and resistance?
Will securing money, food, and drink for my children ensure their safety?
Why gamble with the lives of my children?
From here, I have re-planned things, and my priority now is to leave the Gaza Strip. Why not provide my family with a safe place until the end of this brutal war?!
Therefore, my goals for fundraising for this campaign are:
1- Provide a safe place for my family until the end of the war in Gaza, knowing that we are 4 members, including traveling to Egypt and staying there.
2- Secure what is necessary to provide an income source for myself and my husband, including returning to work online and opening a small project for my husband, which will be our source of income in Egypt.
3- Renovate our house that was destroyed by the war, God willing, after the end of the war. This is what we will seek to achieve in the long term.
This is my story in brief. I am a mother trying to provide safety and a decent life for my children.
Will you help me with that? Or will we wait until we taste the bitterness, loss, and pain that many people in Gaza have suffered?
Please don't hesitate to lend a helping hand and donate to this humanitarian campaign. Thank you very much to everyone who has helped and will help in the future.
