Urgent Relief: Help Rescue the Hloo Family

Mohamed, his wife, and their four children are currently displaced and struggling to survive. Their situation is critical and time is running out. They find themselves living in a tent, exposed to the elements, with barely enough food or water to sustain themselves. The youngest child, an infant, is unable to even nurse from his malnourished mother.

To compound their situation, they are under constant aerial bombardment and sniper-fire, in an unfolding and well-documented genocide. Tragically, Mohamed's brother already fell victim to the relentless violence that surrounds them, when he was gunned down by sniper fire. Mohamed fears the same fate for other members of his family (God forbid).

Mohamed's greatest fear is for the safety of his children, for whom he would sacrifice anything to ensure a future free from fear and uncertainty.

Although initially we had hoped to evacuate Mohamed and his family from Gaza, with the closing of the Rafah border early on in the genocide, it became clear that this would not be possible. Mohamed and his family remained in Gaza throughout the genocide, living in in dire conditions, battling the cold, illness, and constant bombardment and sniper fire. Today, with the ceasefire, Mohamed and his family look forward to their return to normalcy, although it will not be an easy journey. Their home was destroyed, most of their belongings are gone, and they have lost many loved ones.
