Urgent Relief: Help Us Evacuate Rezeq & His Family From Gaza

We’re Daynise, Christina and Melissa and we’ve come together to raise funds on behalf of Rezeq Jamal Rok, a 16-year-old residing in Khan Younis, Gaza, currently displaced in Rafah with his family of six. Their story is one of unimaginable loss - their home and possessions destroyed and their beloved uncle and cousins, one just a month-old baby, were all tragically killed in the conflict early on. Despite his young age, Rezeq has taken on the immense burden of securing aid for his family's welfare.

Our goal is to facilitate the family’s safe evacuation to Egypt. Funds raised will also be allocated to securing essential provisions including food, water, shelter, clothing and medicine both in Gaza and upon their arrival in Cairo as needed.

Prior to the conflict, the Rok family relied on agriculture for their livelihood, deeply valuing the land they cultivated to support their family. They lived in a beautiful home nearby that they've had to abandon and is now in ruins. The family now lives in a makeshift tent that’s damp and cold with extremely limited access to basic necessities. The family has no income and Rezeq’s father struggles to keep the family going. Rezeq’s mother just had gallstone surgery and is recovering. They face extreme hunger and the little food that’s available for purchase is prohibitively expensive due to acute food shortages and overwhelming demand, and aid organizations are stretched to their limits.

Rezeq’s hope is to be safe with his siblings Abdulrahman, Farah, Raghad and Ahmed [ages 13-6] and parents Jamal and Rasha, far away from the turmoil of the ongoing conflict. He dreams of returning to school so he can graduate high school and attend college one day. If the family is unable to cross the border due to border closings which are sometimes both unpredictable and sudden, the funds will go towards assisting the family with basic needs on the ground in Gaza and towards rebuilding their home and future.

We love Rezeq and we know if you met him, you would too. We are racing against time to raise the necessary funds needed to help the family both survive and escape the violence that surrounds them daily. Families like Rezeq’s have nowhere else to turn because our collective governments have mostly turned their backs on them. Your support is vital and brings us closer to providing another family, Rezeq’s family, the chance for safety and stability.
