Urgent request for a tragic and violent incident
Donation protected
Update: We've very carefully decided to update our goal to $100,000. We understand that this is a large amount of money and we do not ask it lightly. Quite frankly, we want Chelsea to not worry about money for the next year. We've seen the awesome power of God and our community, and even if we do not reach that goal, we want to make every effort that Bennett and Chelsea receive the support they need to heal and rebuild their lives with your continued prayers and generosity.

Friends,
We are reaching out on behalf of our little warrior, Bennett, a 3-year-old boy whose life changed dramatically following a tragic incident. On Wednesday, May 8th, Bennett's father violently assaulted his mother at their home in Belton, SC, before kidnapping Bennett. Fleeing the scene, the father led police on a high-speed chase that crossed state lines into Georgia. Following terrible and unfortunate events, Bennett has suffered 3rd degree burns throughout 90% of his little body. His father was arrested and taken into custody.
Bennett is now in a burn center in Augusta, Georgia, sedated and receiving critical care for burns that cover his entire body. He and his mother Chelsea, and their other 2 children have a long, long recovery ahead.
Chelsea is a single mother already caring for her other children, including caring for her special needs child. Obviously, the financial expenses are going to be overwhelming as they will have to stay in Augusta, Georgia for the foreseeable future, and she will be out of work to care for her child.
We are setting up this fundraiser to help cover the medical expenses, rehabilitation, and the other unforeseen costs that will arise during Bennett's long road to recovery. Any amount you can donate will go directly to supporting Bennett and his family during this unimaginably difficult time. Your support will also help provide the necessary stability and care for their other children.
Please consider contributing to Chelsea's family and also sharing this fundraiser. Let's bring a little light during this dark time for Bennett and his family.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
