Urgent Resettlement Funds for Vulnerable Hazaras

Your URGENT help is NEEDED to rescue the persecuted and vulnerable Hazaras.
Since this past August, the situation in Afghanistan has rapidly deteriorated. The Taliban have taken the entire country and effectively created another international humanitarian crisis.
Our non-profit organization has been flooded with messages and cries for help by Hazaras in Afghanistan as well as Hazara-Canadians that have loved ones stranded back home.
Hazaras have suffered over a century of perpetual persecution based on our race and religion.
From 1891 to 1893, tens of thousands of Hazaras were forcefully displaced from their lands and exiled, while many other thousands were forcefully proselytized, raped, and enslaved.
In 1998, the Taliban systematically slaughtered thousands of Hazaras in the cities of Mazar-e-Sharif and Bamiyan alone. Despite being one of the first to lay down their arms and give peace a chance – in post 9/11– Hazaras continued to be the subject of daily attacks, be it within the sanctuary of religious places, in gymnasiums, in the streets, or on public transportation.
The 2020 UNAMA (United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan) report indicated that: “80 per cent of civilian casualties were of the Shi’a Muslim religious minority belonging to the Hazara ethnic group.”
On Friday August 13, the Canadian Government took charge and leadership in the humanitarian efforts by announcing that it would resettle 20,000 vulnerable Afghans to Canada – yet at this very moment, thousands of Hazaras are either prisoners inside the Taliban’s lair or refugees in despair across neighbouring borders.
Despite the Taliban’s claim of change, tolerance, and equality – they have not changed! Their thirst for spilling the blood of innocent Hazaras has not quenched!
On August 19 Amnesty International reported that the Taliban had “callously massacred” 9 Hazara men in the town of Malistan in the province of Ghazni.
As the leading Canadian NGO representing the persecuted Hazaras, we intend to do everything in our power to relocate as many Hazaras refugees to the warmth and safety of Canada. We know full well that the capabilities of governments including the Canadian authorities are limited, therefore it befalls upon us to step-up and step-in.
After all that is who we are as Canadians. Time and again throughout this great nation's history, Canadians have proven to the world that when a crisis comes we answer the call!
Together we MUST! Together we CAN!
