Urgent Supplies and support for Displaced People

We are Mohammad Alfara and Mustafa Abutaha and we are volunteers. We have taken upon ourselves to dedicate our time to help reduce the suffering of the displaced people as much as we can. Mustafa is a university teacher, teaching English at Alaqsa university and Muhammed is a computer engineer.

Since the third month of the war, we have been working very hard in order to alleviate the suffering of the displaced people in Almawasy areas in both, Khan Younis and Deir Albalah. We have been cooperating with Alexandra Phillips and Ruth Lass from the UK since the 7th of December. We have executed some small projects: providing water for the displaced in Almawasy area in Deir Albalah and Khan Younis.

Mustafa has been working with his cousin Asad Albatta, who has been providing water for hundreds of people in the area near MSF in Khan Younis.

Now we are planning to help the displaced people in Almawasy areas and the people who went back to their original placed in Khan Younis, including Alamal Neighborhood. In fact, the situation is getting 5 times more complicated and miserable than it was two three months ago due to the delay in the arrival of food assistance from Egypt. The closure of the borders has worsened the situation much more than ever. There is an urgent need to help those people survive as normal human beings. Their needs are increasing with time, especially, the invasion and ongoing occupation of Rafah. In addition, the evacuation orders issued by the Israeli Authorities have increased rapidly. The needs of the displaced have varied from tents, bathrooms, toilets, fresh water, food supplies.

We were in contact with some NGOs, but support did not meet the level of need adequately.

Now we feel that we have no choice but to go on in our small but important projects which have reduced the daily suffering of the displaced and locals in different areas of Khan Younis and Deir Albalah.

We have been receiving calls of help from hundreds of people to provide them with fresh water and cleaning water and other materials for building tents and mobile toilets. Asad Albata is now in Nassir Hospital in Khan Younis as a result of serious injuries received on the 15th of August 2024.

This makes him unable to meet the growing demand of people for water. We will have to replace him and continue his humanitarian assistance.

Note: Priorities are very important to us. That is why, the most urgent projects take the first priority. we assure you that your money goes directly to the right place, which will have its own great effect of decreasing the misery of people at different levels. And every thing we execute will be well-documented either by photos or videos on Instagram and GoFundMe. Urgently, we do need to work towards 10000 sterling pounds in order to start giving back hope to the people we were helping. We will need further support so that our projects will not come to a halt.
