Euthanasia & Cremation costs
UPDATE: We have taken Annie to the vet and they have confirmed terminal Osteosarcoma. It has metastacized along her entire spine and the only option I have is In home Euthanasia. I am devastated and appreciate everyones support during this time. Your support means the entire world.
Hi, my name is Kiley, and I have a sweet, fuzzy companion named Annie. She’s roughly 15-16 years old, and we've been inseparable since she came into my life when she was 11. Annie means the world to me, and I’m reaching out because she’s been struggling with a serious health issue and I honestly need help.
Lately, Annie has been having a lot of trouble with her arm/paw, and I believe it’s related to her arthritis, which I’ve been managing with joint supplements and home accommodations to make her more comfortable. Unfortunately, her condition has worsened, and she has been essentially immobile for nearly a month.
It started with limping, and I knew I had to get her to the vet. However, I’ve been in a difficult financial situation and don't have the money for the treatment. I ended up borrowing money from my mom to take her in, and my brother generously helped pay for her pain meds. After an examination, the vet recommended further testing, including blood work, organ checks, and X-rays.
I’m currently not working as I’m focused on school, which has made this situation even more stressful. I’ve had to miss school to care for Annie, and I’m on the verge of suspension due to my absences. I just can’t afford to keep missing school, but I also can’t leave Annie to suffer.
The initial vet visit and pain medication cost $200, and I’ve had to pay an additional $70 for refills, even though I still can’t afford the tests she truly needs. I’ve been doing everything I can, like icing her swollen paw, but I’m at a standstill.
The vet has told me that she’s concerned about the swelling and thinks it could be cancer. This is terrifying, and I’m feeling completely helpless. The next steps are crucial, but I cannot move forward without financial assistance unfortunately. Annie needs X-rays and organ tests to determine if her liver can handle anti-inflammatory medications, and to check for fractures or potential cancer.
I never imagined I would have to ask for help, but I know so many people love Annie and would be devastated to see her in pain. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward her medical treatment and help me give her the care she needs to heal.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read Annie’s story. Your support means the world to me, and it gives me hope that we can get her the treatment she deserves.
