Urgent support for a mother, her daughter and newborn baby

Hello everyone, my name is Katharine, and I’m from the UK. I’m fundraising on behalf of Ola Abu Mutair.

We are urgently asking for financial support for our friend Ola, daughter Heba and her unborn child, who are currently in Gaza.

This is Ola’s story.

Before Israel's current siege on Gaza, 22-year-old Ola and her 1-year-old daughter Heba, were living in Al-Shati refugee camp, in Gaza City, with Ola’s husband Youssef, who was sadly killed at the beginning of the invasion of Rafah, in May. Ola is also a university student who has not yet finished her studies.

In October, Ola and her family were forced to flee to Rafah after their home was badly damaged, has since been totally destroyed in an air strike. They have lost all of their belongings, including valuables and savings.

Ola is 8 months pregnant and is now living with her daughter Heba in a small tent, doing their best to survive and keep safe. Rafah is overcrowded and what little available supplies there are, are expensive and dwindling. She desperately needs money to support her young daughter and soon to be born baby. She needs to buy diapers, clothes, milk, food and medical care. Heba also needs to be vaccinated.

Ola has nothing, no money and no partner to support her. They have lost everything during this siege. Funds raised will be sent directly to Ola and will be used to support her young family.
