 My Journey and Struggles--

Eight years ago, I embarked on a journey from Hyderabad, India, to the United States, seeking a better life. Tragically, my husband abandoned me, leaving us in a devastating situation with No Money and no food. He disconnected the electricity in our apartment and canceled our electric service, leaving me and my children in darkness for days. It was only through the kindness of neighbors, who provided temporary electricity through an extension cord, that We had some relief. It has been three months since my husband left, leaving me with my seven-year-old son and ten-year-old daughter. I am a Housewife in Chicago for eight years never employed, now I find myself with no financial resources, no food, and no personal belongings. My husband remains out of contact, and I have no means of transportation after he sold our car. The threat of eviction looms due to unpaid rent, and I cannot even afford a taxi to access necessary medical care for my deteriorating health during pregnancy.
