Urgent Support Needed for Rick's Medical Care

Hi everyone I am Kathleen Lowell I’m posting this fundraiser on behalf of Rick Brannon a dear friend and previous coworker of mine from Providence Mission Hospital and his girlfriend Megan Knickerbocker.

On Thursday may 2nd Rick was admitted into the hospital for what we were told was pneumonia. Later that night he coded twice and was intubated and still is. He has not yet woken up. The doctors have stated he is in heart failure, kidney failure and has blood clots in the left side of his heart. They have advised us he is at high risk for a stroke as well. This has been such a shock and has all happened so fast that no one in his family was really prepared for it.

Megan has been by his side since this has occurred and this is putting a strain on their household as well as she would like to continue to be there constantly to make appropriate decisions for his care as well as if he awakens. If and when he does wake up he will need round the clock care for a while and probably lots of physical therapy. Rick was currently in between jobs looking to take a travel assignment so he does not have any insurance (although they are currently trying to get him cobra), income or qualify for disability at this time. I’m hoping that you can find it in your heart to share, make a donation and send as many prayers as possible. This is horrible for Megan, his family and his two boys.
