Urgent Surgery Needed for Rebekah's Jaw

HELP! SHATTERED JAW JOINTS!! I am asking for help concerning a 24-year-old wife and mother. Her name is Rebekah, and when she was just 19 years old, she was walking to a friend's dorm and was physically assaulted. She had been hit in the face and head with something like a baseball bat. She was found unconscious by campus security. There were no witnesses or cameras to help identify the object used to hit her or the assailant. It caused her severe injury.

She has been to a local surgeon who specializes in jaw reconstruction and needs to have both joints and disks manufactured and replaced. But, before the surgeon can have the parts made, Rebekah has to pay $6,404.30 plus a $10,000 down payment before they can get started on her case. The actual surgery will cost $40,000.00. Furthermore, the specialist is out-of-network with all insurance companies. Apparently, this is a very specialized surgical procedure and cannot be performed by most physicians. She has been given one year before things get to a point where she will lose the ability to speak or chew.

Her family is struggling financially and is doing everything they can to pay their mortgage, much less their medical bills. Please understand, I, myself, have had to have major jaw surgery. And, I can tell you, the problems I have experienced with my jaw have been the most painful and traumatic times in my life. I would not wish this discomfort on anyone. This young lady has had an egregious wrong done to her, and she is suffering horribly for it. Please, find it in your heart to find compassion for her and her family. She desperately needs your help.
