Urgent Surgery Needed: Help Jesús Correa

Hola, soy Jesús Correa. Y me veo en la necesidad de solicitar tu ayuda para someterme a una cirugía abierta y tratar una infección que pone en riesgo mi vida.

En julio de 2023, fui hospitalizado de emergencia para tratar una aneurisma aórtica abdominal y se me colocó una prótesis aórtica. Tras meses de dolor en el área abdominal, exámenes mensuales y tratamientos. En el mes de enero de 2024 médicos confirmaron una infección severa en el músculo psoas y en la prótesis lo cual requirió hospitalización e intervención por punción para drenar el absceso y limpiar el área, seguido de un tratamiento con antibióticos. Luego en febrero 2024 y después de más exámenes se confirma que la infección continuaba, fue necesario otra hospitalización con cirugía laparoscópica para hacer limpieza quirúrgica del área afectada, seguido con tratamiento con antibiótico que aun sigo tomando hasta la fecha, y que gracias a Dios me compran tiempo al tener la infección controlada según mis últimos exámenes. A pesar de estos esfuerzos, la infección persiste y necesito una cirugía abierta para reemplazar la prótesis y limpiar el área infectada. Sin esta intervención, mi vida está en peligro y debe realizarse a la brevedad.

Cualquier donación será utilizada para cubrir los costos de esta cirugía, ya que después de haber costeado todo lo anterior con ayuda de mis hijos, ya no cuento con fondos para cubrir los gastos de esta cirugía necesaria, por lo cual apeló a tu colaboración para lograr pasar este momento difícil de mi vida.

Hello, my name is Jesús Correa. I am 66 years old and I find myself in need of requesting your help to undergo open surgery to treat an infection that is putting my life at risk.

In July 2023, I was hospitalized urgently to treat an abdominal aortic aneurysm and had an aortic prosthesis placed. After months of pain in the abdominal area, monthly exams, and treatments, in January 2024, doctors confirmed a severe infection in the psoas muscle and in the prosthesis, which required hospitalization and intervention by puncture to drain the abscess and clean the area, followed by antibiotic treatment. Then in February 2024, after more exams confirmed that the infection persisted, another hospitalization with laparoscopic surgery was necessary to perform a surgical cleaning of the affected area, followed by antibiotic treatment which I am still taking to this date. Thankfully, this treatment has bought me some time by keeping the infection controlled according to my latest tests. Despite these efforts, the infection persists, and I need open surgery to replace the prosthesis and clean the infected area. Without this intervention, my life is in danger and it must be done as soon as possible.

Any donation will be used to cover the costs of this surgery since, after having covered all the previous expenses with the help of my children, I no longer have funds to cover the costs of this necessary surgery. Therefore, I appeal to your collaboration to help me get through this difficult time in my life.
