Urgent: Thomas's Battle Against Injustice

My name is Mary. I am a dedicated wife and now a loving mother of a sweet baby girl. I am humbly and faithfully coming forward to ask anyone and everyone for financial aid for my husband. Every dollar helps.

I’m sure a lot of people that see this that know us have wondered what’s going on. Why are there very rarely pictures of you and your husband? Why was he not at his own wedding? Why can he never travel with you? And why now are there no pictures shared of him and his newborn daughter? Long story short, I married the love of my life a year ago while simultaneously accepting a long miserable 15 year sentence with the U.S. justice system.

My husband was wrongfully accused and convicted of a crime back in 2022. He was arrested based simply on one girl's untruthful statement. He was offered a plea deal from the state and coerced into taking it by poor counsel. He has spent more than 6 months in jail, going on three years now of probation, court ordered sex offender registry, spent thousands of dollars in court fees and lawyers, and has been harassed by several different entities in the process. He has also been diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression because of all of this.

My husband, Thomas, grew up in the small town of Winslow, AZ. He comes from a good family full of military and law enforcement. Prior to his conviction, he spent 7 years serving our country in the U.S. army. Thomas has over 20 awards from his time in the military. He was deployed to Syria for operation Inherent Resolve back in 2021. He put his life down for this country for 7 years and in less than two months after retiring from the military he got arrested and accused of a crime by the very system he was protecting.

We just had our first child back in April. This is going to affect her life one day and it breaks our hearts to accept that. We simply cannot stop fighting especially for her. She deserves a fully present father in her life. However, for some odd reason, it seems the entire state of Arizona wants Thomas to go to prison. He was even unable to go to his own wedding. I had to stand at the altar alone stating my vows to a Bluetooth stereo. We have prayed, cried, screamed, and come to the end of ourselves over the past year. We have exhausted every effort to fight this on our own. We have given every penny we could possibly scrape up to this cause. We have talked to lawyer after lawyer in hopes we can get out of this nightmare we are living in.

Fast forward to now, we have recently found out new information that was hidden from Thomas during his conviction hearing in June of 2022. We are confident that this new evidence will be the catalyst to get all of this injustice dropped completely. We found an amazing attorney that specifically fights for the exoneration of these types of crimes. This attorney didn’t make baseless promises or make us sell a kidney just to look at the case. Since we have already exhausted all our efforts financially into this case, we cannot pay the retainer fee at the moment. However, there is a very specific time frame you have after you take a plea deal to fight your case.
