I have to make a request of my friends, please consider helping!

I *need* to get to Washington State the first week of May.

First reason - my bonus kid has asked me to be their support person for gender-affirming surgery, which is happening May 2nd in Spokane. They need someone to assist them in Spokane until their follow up on May 10th, when they will head back to Seattle. I don't want to let them down.

Second reason - my son, his co-parent and my grandson have plans to leave the continent (note - CONTINENT, not just the country) at the end of May. There is a very non-zero chance they may not return, both by choice and because of the difficulties they could have coming back in the current political climate.

Internet communication notwithstanding, I may never have the opportunity to see my son, their co-parent, or my only grandchild, ever again.

I HAVE to get to Seattle to say goodbye.

I've *just* about got the work piece handled - I've traded weekends with a coworker to cover the weekend I will miss, and I'm holding onto the little bit of PTO I've managed to accrue with everything I've got (but if I get overstaffed even once in the next 2 pay periods, my financial house of cards will implode, and affording to live at all will take necessary priority over travel). But I still need plane tickets - one to Spokane on May 1st (that will hopefully get me there by early afternoon), one home from Seattle on May 12th (anytime - I just need to be back in time to sleep and then work Tuesday night). And I'll need money for expenses while I'm gone, with an emergency cushion if anything screws up the work piece.

I need at minimum $2000 (but more realistically probably $3000) to pull this off.
