URGENT: Van for Refugee Youth & Family Services Organization

To get straight to the point - my name is Philip Manga and I am the president of BoxtoBox. Our organization is in IMMEDIATE need of a large passenger van so that we can continue our services. Our services have been temporarily suspended because of dangerous mechanical issues with our prior van that have made it completely unsafe to drive. The young people we serve rely on us to provide transportation to the tutoring sessions, soccer activities, and other programs we offer.

Our prior van is a 2006 model that helped us through the first few years of our program but has become unsafe to operate.

We are asking for help from the Kentucky community so that we can purchase a van that will allow us to continue providing our services for years to come.

About Box2Box

Box2Box is an incredible program primarily supporting young men in the refugee community through soccer and educational outreach. Playing soccer at a high level is a dream for most of our young men. Unfortunately, they are often behind in education and face numerous challenges financially with their families.

Through after-school tutoring, soccer training, and soccer leagues, Box2Box works with around 70 young people each semester who might otherwise fall through the cracks. This outreach provides improvements in school outcomes, higher education opportunities, and the pursuit of the dream to play soccer at a high level.
