Urgent Ramadan Relief for Rohingya Refugees

We are reaching out with an urgent appeal to provide iftar food packages and clothes for Rohingya children and vulnerable families living in overcrowded conditions in the world's largest refugee camp in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.

In August 2017, over one million Rohingya refugees were forcibly displaced from their homes after fleeing violence in Myanmar. Since then, thousands of Rohingya children and their families are living in overcrowded conditions, vulnerable to disease outbreaks, fires, cyclones and monsoon rains, each disaster causing widespread destruction and despair. Nearly half of the Rohingya refugees are children, and they are highly vulnerable to harsh weather conditions due to lack of insulation in makeshift shelters in hilly areas. They have limited access to early warning systems and no prospect of returning home.

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, thousands of vulnerable Rohingya families in the refugee camps are struggling to secure food for Suhoor and Iftar. Many vulnerable Rohingya families in refugee camps, especially orphaned children, people with disabilities, single-mother households, and the elderly, face extreme daily hardship during the holy month of Ramadan. They cannot afford nutritious iftar items and essential clothes due to poor living conditions and lack of resources in the refugee camps.

We aim to distribute food packages and clothes to those most in need, ensuring they can break their fast with dignity.
