Please help us find Ruben's murderer(s)!

Ruben was murdered a couple of days after Christmas 1997 in Las Vegas, NM. 26 years later, we know nothing more than we knew when the murder occurred. We are raising funds to offer a reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Ruben's murderer(s).

Imagine, while reading the article below, that this is your friend...your brother.....your son. Wouldn't you want the person who committed this brutal crime to be brought to justice? We do and we feel that someone has to know something. We tried to have a meeting with the Chief of Police at the time and he was a no-show.

A 25-year-old Las Vegas man whose nude body was found outside a nightclub two weeks ago may have

frozen to death after a severe beating, police said.

The victim, Joseph Ruben Pacheco, may also have been sexually assaulted before his death, Las Vegas police Detective Robert Duran III said Monday. An initial report by the Office of the Medical Investigator suggests that Pacheco was beaten unconscious and then he froze to death. His body was found Dec. 28, in a stairwell behind the La Casita nightclub at Douglas and Grand avenues.

Investigators believe Pacheco left a group of friends at Dick's Liquors, a bar about two blocks away from the club sometime after midnight on Dec. 27. The following morning, Pacheco's family reported him missing when he failed to return home. A friend discovered the body shortly after 10 p.m.

We have contacted the Las Vegas NM police department to request another look at his case. I've been told that the DA, Thomas Clayton, has had Ruben's file on his desk for the last year but has not opened it. I requested to meet with Thomas Clayton in person and he did not respond to my request.

Why won't anyone do anything? They didn't do anything to help solve Ruben's murder in 1997 and they aren't doing anything now. PLEASE donate.
