EAVES Ambulance serves the Village of East Syracuse and northern Town of DeWitt. We are a volunteer based NOT FOR PROFIT emergency medical service.
We are raising funds to meet our ongoing financial obligations. We are a not for profit 501-C-3 charity and all donations are tax deductible. EAVES lost $1.4 million in 2018 due to low insurance reimbursement and the high number of people in our primary response area on Medicare or Medicaid.
Insurance companies reimburse us at less than the cost of performing service, supplies are costing more and staying current on training for staff members is crucial.
We have moved to the center of our response area, thus improving response times into the village of East Syracuse and areas along Erie Blvd. Our new facility has enabled us to house all of our emergency vehicles in a single heated building and our training facilities are on site. We are paying careful attention to the maintenance of our new building, so that it can serve the community well into the future.
Our new location is directly helping to SAVE LIVES and enabling EAVES to better serve the community.
