Purchasing a haven to shelter the unsheltered

In 2022, I unexpectedly lost my aunt Meryl. It has been life-changing. However, something we talked about before her passing was her desire to, one day, open a housing program with young people. My wife and had been thinking, for some time, about starting a nonprofit before knowing that was a dream of hers, as people with extensive experience in the sector and shelter programming. So, when we lost her, after a battle with depression, I, with the support of my wife decided to make two dreams come true. Meryl's Safe Haven was created to actualize those dreams while closing the gap in shelter programming that has grown immensely since the start of the pandemic.

Unlike many non-profits that can start anywhere and provide services, shelter programs need physical spaces to provide shelter which is why we're fundraising.
