USA Wrestling Deaflympics Fundraiser

Help support USA Deaf Wrestling team to go to the 2022 Deaflympics in Brazil. It is happening on May 1-15, 2022. Unfortunately, it is completely SELF-PAID to participate and represent our country. Each wrestler is responsible for their fundraising, so you can support them as well, but we really need assistance to cover the costs for our two coaches and interpreter. Without them, the team does not have the resources and support it needs. It is $4,500 per person. This covers their transportation, lodging, gear, and other fees. So that is $20,000 needed!

 

Head Coach John Dolezal is a former wrestling Deaflympian, returning as a coach. His specialty is Freestyle.

 

Assistant Coach Donny Logendyke is a silver medalist for Greco-Roman in 2021’s Senior Pan American Championships. He is a great asset and addition to the team.

 

Kaylea Hoenigschmidt is the interpreter for the team. She has dedicated over five years fine-tuning her specialty for wrestling interpreting. She is vital to ensure clear communication access is made for everyone on the team.
