USCUP-CX overall prize purse
Donation protected
The USCUP-CX is excited to announce additional funds are being pledged in order to increase the overall prize purse of the USCUP-CX for 2017. The overall prize purse for the USCUP-CX will now be awarded to the top 3 overall final standings in both the women's and men's elite categories.
We have seen extremely competitive racing in the first 4 rounds of the US Cup CX series and we are impressed! The efforts, energy and sacrifice the riders are expending in these races and the series overall is appreciated and respected by SCG, not to mention the flat out entertainment they are giving the fans and sponsors.
We are going to reward them for the efforts. SCG has set up a go fund-me page and Scott Tedro the President of SHO-AIR International has committed to match all donations up $7,500 so we can make this the largest prize purse in USA cyclocross history. So if the fans have enjoyed the racing and want to donate to help create and even larger overall payout, the overall purse can grow by an additional $15,000.00 or more with Sho-Air's matching commitment.
This has been a fantastic season of racing so far, and we want to keep the riders battling for every spot until the very last round of the USCUP-CX.
“I could not have asked for a better first year of the USCUP-CX series so far. The racing has been so close and so competitive each weekend, that these women and men have truly earned and deserve more recoginition for their efforts” - Ryan Trebon (USCUP-CX series director)
