15 Lawyers in the Making!

Donation protected
This year, the University of San Francisco La Raza Law Students Association is celebrating 15 students who will be receiving their Juris Doctor degrees this Spring. This is the largest cohort of La Raza Grads to come out of the law school.

Our class includes a diverse cohort of students who have one thing in common: they are all the first people in their families to attend college and go on to graduate from law school. This is impressive when you consider the statistics. In California, Latinos make up 38.4% of the population (U.S. Census Bureau), yet we only represent 6.5% of licensed attorneys in the State (Pew Research Center). These students will be changing that statistic.

Our efforts to close the diversity gap can’t take effect unless we have the support of everyone in our community. We need people to acknowledge and celebrate the gravitas of the moment.

We would ask you to join us in marking this accomplishment by helping us celebrate our graduates. By donating, you stand in solidarity with our young lawyers and you affirm the message that diversity matters.

All organizations and individual donors will be aknowledged at celebration dinner.

We thank you in advance for your generosity!

Sincerely,

The University of San Francisco La Raza Law Students Association - Graduating Class of 2017
