Ship Donated Hockey Gear to Patagonia, Argentina

Donation protected
Hey, I’m Chris. My goal is to support a passionate hockey community on the other side of the world. I'm a hockey dad in Tokyo, and my son's team has generously donated a ton of hockey gear… just sitting here in my garage now… waiting to be shipped halfway across the planet to Ushuaia, located down in the Patagonia region of Argentina. As the southernmost city in the world, it is as beautiful as it is remote.

In Ushuaia, there's a passionate and growing community of hockey players. They bring equal energy and passion on and off the ice, and practically live out on the ponds where hockey is meant to be played. Unfortunately, high import tariffs and a weak Argentine peso make it nearly impossible for everyone to access the gear they need to play safely and competitively.

Last year, I was fortunate to visit Ushuaia and bring two bags of donated gear from my son’s team, and others contributed a lot as well. However, there is still a ton of equipment we need to load up on a cargo ship to make the journey of 16,000 kilometers.
Once the equipment arrives it will make its way over to Club Andino, where my friend and fellow American named Matt is coaching the U10 to U18 teams and doing best to put Argentina on the world hockey map.

Matt also runs the TIPO9NINE pro shop where he manufactures wooden hockey sticks for local players and provides skate sharpening. More than the world’s southernmost pro shop, TIPO9NINE is the local hockey community center. He tells us the donated gear is going to be a big deal.

Our goal is to make hockey more accessible and to grow the number of players who will eventually buy their own equipment. By building the hockey community in Ushuaia, we can create healthy competition among local teams and support the national program.
The money that you donate will directly pay for all of the associated shipping fees for the gear, as well as the purchasing of other essential items not included in the donations, such as neck guards and mouth guards to keep the players safe, and stick tape and skate guards to keep their gear in good condition.

Please donate if you can. Share this link with anyone who loves seeing the sport of hockey grow, or perhaps with those who have a soft spot for Argentina. Just a little amount from many hands will go a long way.
