USS Hector AR7 remembrance plaque
Donation protected
My name is Mike Field I served aboard the USS Hector from 1980 to 1983. The Hector was a WWII ship built to repair battleships. During WWII her crew worked hard to keep the fleet repaired and afloat to fight against tyranny. The Hector and her sisters are no longer around there is very little left except surviving crew members who are slow passing away to their reward.
The Nimitz museum is located in Fredricksburg Texas the museum honors those who have sacrificed during the pacific campaign of WWII.
