USVI Hurricane Irma Relief Fund
Donation protected
I am Jehrel Kadeem Williams a U.S. Virgin Island's native and American Citizen residing in Miami. My family friends and community are in dire need of help. The money raised will be used to help the community rebuild, provide food and shelter to those displaced due to Hurricane Irma, provide support to families in transition as the storms pass, and possibly assist in costs of burial. I will returning to the islands in a few weeks to hand deliver these donations and once communication is reestablished with the island I will contact all shelters and begin to help with costs of importing food.
Remember that these are islands and people cannot simply walk or drive to food help or shelter or somewhere unaffected by the storm. Any mount helps as well as awareness. Please support. Please pass this along.
The United States Virgin Islands has suffered the worst Hurricane in decades. Hurricane Irma quickly grew to a category 5 and ravaged these three small islands in a matter of days. Over 100,000 U.S. Citizens born. On either St. Thomas, St. John, or St. Croix, and visiting from the continental US as well as many other tourists and guest on vacation have been stuck to ride out this natural disaster. Evacuation simply was not an option for island natives and plane prices have been reported to skyrocket to over $1,000-3,000 per ticket to leave days before the storm.
The U.S. Virgin Islands as well as Puerto Rico will need support in the upcoming weeks, months, and possibly years as we rescue and rebuild. Please any amount helps. Share and spread the word. Many Americans don't even know the USVI exists much less that it has suffered such a disaster.
