Utah and BYU Winter Coat and Blanket Drive - 2022

This winter we’re collecting donations of coats, hats, gloves, socks, blankets, and cash to help support The Road Home in Salt Lake and the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake. They are in desperate need for winter clothing of all sorts for those experiencing extreme poverty and homelessness this winter.

This morning is one of the warmest of the month, and it was about 29 degrees before sunrise in Salt Lake City. This winter will regularly get below 0 degrees outside, and we’ll have entire weeks of outside temperatures below freezing. Spending just a few minutes in these temperatures can cause hypothermia, and can ultimately be deadly. Go outside this morning without a coat for 15 minutes, and then imagine spending the night in colder temperatures.

Between pickups and purchases, our goal is to provide 250 coats or other items to The Road Home and the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake, but we can’t do it without you.

100% of donations will be used to buy coats and blankets for Utahns in need.
