Ubuntu Through Health 2020: Raise Funds for Ruben

Donation protected
Ubuntu Through Health (UTH) is a volunteer organisation run by medical students at Griffith University. We raise money to empower our international partner organisations to better help their communities and help reduce health inequalities.

Unfortunately, as a result of COVID-19 we are unable to host our usual fundraising events. But the reason and need to fundraise is greater than ever.

Since 2012 UTH has supported a malnutrition program run by The Ruben Centre, which lies in the heart of the Mukuru community, in Nairobi Kenya. Malnourished children are given a high energy peanut paste and fortified flour is provided to their families. This food is essential in curing their malnourishment and allowing normal growth and development. Even in non-pandemic times, Mukuru parents work extremely hard to provide enough food for their families. COVID-19 has made this significantly more difficult and as a result, thousands of children do not have enough food.

Whether you are a long-term supporter of UTH or have only just heard of us, please consider donating to support The Ruben Centre in serving the Mukuru community. No amount is too small to make a difference.

We have some great local prizes from our sponsors to thank you for your donation. Please head to our Facebook page for more information.

We thank you for your support!
