Utica Youth Tanzania Clean Water Project

Utica Youth Tanzania Clean Water, Medical, Cleanness and Hygiene Project.

We (Murtaza, Mohamed, Muamer, Rothana, Taha, Hasan and Jailek) are a group of senior high school students living in Utica, New York, who will be visiting Tanzania at the end of July to help out struggling students and families.

Having contacted and talked to people in Tanzania, we have determined the most significant areas of need and kindly ask for your contribution to this charitable cause.

Tanzanian schoolchildren and their families live under challenging circumstances in rural areas.

Clean Water Project: It is difficult to imagine a life without clean water in our daily lives, as it is an essential need that we take for granted. However, safe and clean water is still challenging in many communities worldwide. Some communities have access to contaminated water, which can lead to water-borne illnesses such as cholera, typhoid, and dysentery. Apart from health concerns, another principal issue is that people who do not have clean water in their areas travel significantly far to provide water for drinking and daily chores.

Medical Health Insurance: Better health is crucial to human happiness and development. Apart from its central importance, most people in the world lack access to better health, enough income, and insufficient health facilities. According to the World Bank and WHO, half the world lacks access to essential health services, and 100 million are still in extreme poverty because of health expenses.

Cleanness and Hygiene Project: Water is vital to human survival, and any contribution counts to providing clean water to more communities to help with cleaning and hygiene. Cleaning gives peace of mind, keeping our environment clean and having good hygiene habits are vital for our health as well as our wellbeing

Finally, a part of our trip will be dedicated to visiting local nonprofit organizations to collaborate on this effort. With your generosity, we aim to collect the money to help Tanzanian students and families in need.
