Canoeing against Bullying

Buddies not Bullies Inc. a  new Non-Profit Organization out of Duluth, MN is raising awareness about bullying and the effects it has on our children. They will be canoeing the entire Mississippi River starting in Northern MN and ending in Louisiana. This mission can take up to 3.5 months to complete, weather permitting. They are planning on leaving July 1st, and depending on the Funding sooner if able. Along their mission there will be scheduled stops in cities, otherwise they will be camping out along the shore. They will be utilizing technology such as the Go Pro to record their trip with uploads to their Facebook Page daily. They will also meet up with the local media in the cities they stop at.  This is a great way to reach everyone and let the nation know that bullying will not be tolerated. Raising money for the Non-Profit is a priority at this time, as without funding it is hard to get our workshops together to be involved with the schools and other businesses as well as raising awareness.  Right now Buddies not Bullies Inc. is raising enough through fundraisers for their next event. What better way to raise money than a trip that is difficult to complete.  
 
All supplies at the end of the mission will be donated to a community center at the end.
