Heart Transplant

Hello everyone,

My name is Cynthia Hill. My husband is Christopher Hill Sr. We have been married for 30 years.

Chris has been in heart failure for years. He just received a pacemaker. However, because of how weak his heart is, he is on a constant IV of medicine to strengthen his heart. His kidneys are fighting to continue to work. He has reached the point now that he needs to have a bloodless heart transplant. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses we view blood as sacred. The Bible admonishes us to abstain from blood (Acts 15:20).

His surgery needs to be done at Chicago University Hospital. The sooner we move, the faster my husband can be put on the heart transplant list. We need to live an hour away from the hospital. The funds we be used to move, and to get us on our feet while we get things in order. My husband and I are on a fixed income and we are having trouble getting the funds needed to move to Chicago.
