Pursuit of my Passion

Hey Everyone!! I'm Jess Hitt. I have started this fundraiser in the hopes that after years of pain and struggle, I can finally pursue my passions and dreams of using my pain for a purpose. I have always felt in my heart that if I can touch just one person because of what I have been through, then it would all be with it. After a 20 year struggle with a life-threatening eating disorder and becoming entrenched in an addiction to substances, I am finally experiencing true freedom. I wish that my experience could be enough to qualify me to help others, but unfortunately, it takes a degree to pursue that. I am between a rock and a hard place. I feel more than humbled to be asking for help, but I found that has been one of the greatest strengths I have learned. I wouldn't be here today if it hadn't been for the guidance, support, encouragement, and prayer warriors who have been my biggest fans along the way. But, first and foremost, it has been My God that has delivered and placed me in the shelter of His wings. I want to hold steadfast to the passion God instilled in me to help others. From my own true experience, nobody quite fully understands the brutal reality of eating disorders and addiction unless they have walked that path themselves. So I am praying and hoping for the support of my family and friends so I can, in turn, go out a make a difference in a hurting world that needs to know that there is HOPE and an answer. Any amount would help tremendously and I plan on creating a blog for my contributors to keep them updated on the progress God allows me to make and the path He leads me down. Please join me in making a difference to those who find themselves hopeless trapped in the chains of an eating disorder and/or addiction. With yall's support, I am going  build a strong foundation in furthuring my recovery and education. I have already been offered speaking engagements but do not have the means to get to them. I have been given another chance and the gift of a brand new life. It is my turn to pour my lives into others. Now that I have found my voice and true freedom, I am NEVER shutting up, giving up, or backing down!!! I appreciate all of yall's prayers and support.
