Hi, my name is Micah Cooke and it’s always been my biggest dream to one day do music full time through singing and songwriting and hearing my songs fully realized and produced.
I’m trying to raise $1,500 to have my song produced and to be able to fly from Atlanta, GA to Dallas, TX to record vocals.
From the moment I can first remember I’ve been surrounded by music. From growing up in a musical family to secretly writing songs in my bedroom to now singing and sharing my songs on socials and being a part of a worship team every week; music has been and continues to be a constant in my life.
There are so many things I love about music but the one thing that makes a song special to me is if I’m able to relate to it and if it’s able to make me truly feel something. I strive to do that in every song I write; I want for people to be able to relate to my music and for them to truly feel moved by it while also pulling from real life inspirations to help craft the song.
Even though I won’t be taking the steps to do music full time just yet, I do have the opportunity to have a song of mine completely produced and mastered.
A few weeks ago I posted a snippet of one of my songs called “I Wish I Knew You Now” and a friend of mine (now music producer) that I met through a songwriting camp over 4 years ago reached out and is interested in producing a song with me.
I have prayed so hard over this decision because I’ve had other “close calls” with other producers/organizations before but something has always felt off about those past “close calls”.
With this opportunity though, The Lord has given me peace.
From the moment Elliot (my music producer friend) reached out I had the idea of creating this GoFundMe but was super hesitant because I didn’t think anyone would support. But I have faith that The Lord knows what he is doing through this and through me.
I hope that you would consider giving to help my music come to life, because I myself can’t wait to hear it and share it with the world.
