Hello, in Decemeber 2015 right before the holidays my mom received the devastating news that she had breast cancer. Not only did she have cancer but it turned out to be stage 3. The doctors informed me her she would need an aggressive treatment plan and in January 2016 she began chemotherapy. The chemo she is receiving is one of the most potent available. It is nicknamed the "red devil." Due to the side effects of the treatment she was forced to miss a lot of time at work . As a single mother of 6 this was worse then the cancer. My mom has 3 children still living at home and one in college who depend on her. My other 2 siblings both military help as much as they can but due to service obligations and having their own families it's difficult for them
to assist in taking care of my mother and helping with the bills that have began to pile up. My mother has contemplated stopping treatment to go back to work full time. But I know this isn't the solution. If she stops treatment she may die and we will be without a mother. She has exhausted
her saving. This journey has been very hard on our family. It really has my mom weak and depending on God more then ever. We have become my mothers care givers for the most part some days. It's hard to see your hero who you depend on become dependent on you. We have been my moms biggest support. She now has type 2 diabetes because of the chemo. Her primary care physician is trying to get her levels down. Her insulin regimens has changed three time in two weeks . After 4 round of "red devil" chemotherapy she will be off chemo for two weeks then start a new round of chemotherapy with a different chemo drug and will be going weekly for 12 weeks. I'm scared of what that may do. Right now she has no taste in her mouth, her hair has falling off and her scalp hurts, She has bad spams, and there are days she's so weak she can't get out of bed. We have to assist her with showering and everyday activities. If you can please donate and pray for our mother and our family. Thank you!
