Alaa and His Family: Hope Amid Hardship

Hello, my name is Alaa Salama. I am 31 years old, a Palestinian from Gaza, and a father to two wonderful children, Mohammed (8 years old) and Sham (7 years old). Like many families in Gaza, my life was turned upside down by the war that has ravaged our region for over a year and four months.

In a single moment, we lost everything. My home, built with love and hard work, was reduced to rubble. I lost my job, our sole source of income, and we became homeless. Since then, we have been living in a makeshift tent that provides no protection from the scorching heat of summer or the bitter cold of winter. The area around us is completely destroyed, and our daily struggles have worsened to the point where we sometimes go hungry.

My children, Mohammed and Sham, dream of simple things like any other child in the world: going to school, playing safely, and sleeping in a warm bed. But our harsh reality denies them these basic dreams. My wife, Nabila, who is 30 years old, does everything she can to keep us strong, but the circumstances are beyond what we can bear.

We desperately need your help. The goal of this campaign is to provide us with the basic necessities of life:

A safe home to live a dignified life away from fear and cold.

Food and clean water to keep our children healthy.

Clothing and heating supplies to survive the harsh winter.

Hygiene supplies, medical care, and education, as these are essential rights we cannot afford to lose.
