Jay's Top Surgery Fund

Hi all! Im Jay (they/them) and am trans-masc, which means while I come under the non-binary umbrella I feel and present more masculine. I have been on a gender journey over the last 2 years which has allowed me to discover who I really am but has also brought to light the distress i feel on a daily basis. I have always felt different, like something was wrong with me and I didn't fit in, but since coming out as trans and taking steps to align my body with the gender identity that feels right to me, I have felt happier and more like myself. However I still have a long way to go, my chest area in particular triggers deep dysphoria and can make me anxious about leaving the house and in social situations. I wear a binder daily which helps to flatten my chest and alleviate some of the dysphoria, though these are physically restrictive and long term may exacerbate my asthma and cause physical damage. So I have made the decision to undergo top surgery in order to relieve the physical and emotional pain I experience, become more connected with myself and lead a healthier and happier life.
I have been diagnosed with gender dysphoria by a psychologist specialising in gender treatment and I am on the waiting list with the London Transgender Clinic for surgery. I do not have an exact quote yet but have based this fundraiser on an estimate to allow myself time to raise the amount. I would be forever greatful for any help however big or small and will continue to pay it forward in any way I can.
Thank you and all the queer love.
