Help Keene family with medical & funeral expenses

Hi, my name is Nancy and I’m fundraising for Kathleen Keene. She and her husband Karl had hoped for a liver transplant for Karl but after a month in the hospital with medical complications from non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis, Karl was sent home on hospice. He died in Kathleen’s arms on January 11.

Kathleen had been his full time caregiver and was spelled only by visits from hospice and a CNA.

Kathleen herself has rheumatoid arthritis, vertigo and chronic pain which further adds to her difficulties. She also won’t now be receiving Karl’s social security retirement benefits.

Please join me in providing financial support for remaining medical costs as well as memorial, cremation and other expenses.

A touching aspect of their story is that their son Seth had hoped to be the liver donor for his father. Now Seth is facing planning a summer wedding at the same time he deals with losing his dad.
