Uvalde Murals

The Healing Murals of Uvalde Project Update: As of Aug 2022, we continue to work towards completing the 21 Portrait Murals. Additional funds will go towards the ongoing and lifelong preservation of the murals, which include maintenance and ongoing protective sealant.

Goal: To create portrait murals that memorialize the 21 victims. We also hope to paint three murals with the community, including families, surviving children, and youth.

Funds: This project has received initial funding through a Handbid Auction and is supported by MAS Cultura, Collectors Of Chicano/Latinx Art and Allies, and Art Lab-Uvalde. GoFundMe donations received on or after 05/29/22, 11:59 pm, are automatically allocated to the Healing Murals of Uvalde. Funds received before 05/29 were used on 06/04 towards Uvalde Unidos initiatives, including three murals and a community memorial event.

Disclosure: If you donate to the Healing Murals of Uvalde Project, you acknowledge that we reserve the right to use the funds towards creating murals, preservation of murals, and artists' expenses (supplies, lodging, meals, or gas). We reserve the right to reallocate all resources to meet the immediate need of the Uvalde victims and community.
