These past days have been unreal. My daughter lost a friend & my wife lost 2 of her best friends that always kept her laughing. My wife will not be teaching summer school this year because she is too traumatized to even go near the school. Who knows if she’ll ever even teach again. I know I’m not allowing her or my kids back at school until there is a change. We count on this money to play travel ball and travel nation wide with our family to pursue their dreams. It will take time and plenty of counseling but we’ll keep pushing forward one day At a time. Thank you to everyone who has reached out by phone, text & messenger. I feel the love and I’m extremely grateful for all the support.

Hi Everyone!  We have been deeply saddened to hear about and read some judgmental comments trying to paint Jacob in an incorrect light and asked, as his family and friends, if we could hijack his post.

At the urging of his family and friends, Jacob created this campaign to give us the opportunity to support his family, and in particular, his wife and children.  Most of us over the past few weeks have felt a deep desire to help, but until this campaign, had felt uncertain as to how.  We understand that once the media moves to the next story, families like the Albarados are left to deal with the aftermath of an exceptionally traumatic event.  The psychological warfare for all the individuals involved, especially the teachers and children, will create a heavy financial burden in several different and unknown ways.

This forum gave us an avenue to show our love and support of Trisha and the kids. We would encourage and implore anyone who was impacted by an event like this to reach out to his/her community through this exact same channel.  It creates an opportunity for us neighbors/family/friends to choose whether or not we want to support the posted cause.

It is a disempowering statement to pin this idea on Jacob.  He did not make the choice as to whether or not his family is deserving (or more deserving over others) of our help; all of us who have donated here made the choice for ourselves.  In knowing the Albarados, their constant kindness, love and service toward others is exactly why we have chosen to support them.  And, we will continue to encourage all who read this to help support, in any way they can, what we find as an unbelievably worthy cause.

Thank you for your support!
