I want to tell you about our sister. . .

Lisa is one of the best people that I know, her smile literally lights up the room. She is an amazing mother of 4 who loves her kids above all else. She works so hard for her family and even continued to work full time while fighting stage 4 breast cancer, through a double mastectomy, and all those many rounds of chemotherapy and radiation.

In 2019, at the age of 33, Lisa found out she had cancer, the size of a softball. She immediately started to fight, underwent major surgery and lots of treatment all while continuing to help her husband provide for her family in every way.

In 2020- she was in remission! Cancer FREE!

She found out in January 2022 the cancer had returned. . .

She shared the devastating news via a Facebook post in March 2022. She told us that

“Since last May, the tumor markers have been going up. After 6 months trying to get insurance approval for the scan, I finally got it at the end of December. 5 days later, Dr told me the cancer made a home in my bones. She sent me for a biopsy to confirm those findings and test if it is the same kind as before. That took another few weeks because in the middle of trying to do that, I had COVID, so biopsy was at the end of January. Now a week into February, results came back and confirmed it’s the same. I have metastatic breast cancer, stage 4. Right now its treatable, to prolong my life, of course it took another several weeks to get the new meds in and switched. Finally got that started March 1st. Palliative care has been started as well to try get the best quality of life. So this whole time, I've had intermittent back pain, but I just chalked it up to work and trying to put the boxes away. Wasn't until Christmas that it became a much more constant pain. My lower back and hips hurt a lot. Yes, I am still working for now. Yes, our kids know. No, I don’t know what I need or what could help right now. We've had a lot of tears just trying to cope. So with all of that.... I started a bucket list! Can you share things that are must-dos and sees? Preferably, feasible and attainable things? Example, I would love to go look at waterfalls or to take my kid's camping....so your suggestions on great places for that? Thanks for checking in.”

Lisa has been in significant pain since this post, she took an ambulance ride a week after this announcement. They originally suspected that her back was broken. Cancer weakens her bones, making them more brittle and more susceptible to break. Thank God it was not broken! But, you can imagine the pain she is in. She is extremely tired and fatigued most of the time and has been unable to work since March 30th of this year.

Lisa ALWAYS has time for you, no matter what time of day you need her- she is the FIRST one there when you need her. Let us please come together for HER now- we know that God is good, we know He is in control so please, please, pray for her and her family. And, if you are able to throw in $5, or whatever the Lord puts on your heart- we know every penny will be cherished and put to good use.

This wonderful family could use any donations to assist with bills, both medical and regular, groceries, ordering in food, or just to have a little fun or rest, (she needs it and is the most deserving person I know) as she will have zero income to contribute until October when disability kicks in.

Lisa LOVES Harry Potter! Her one huge bucket list item and dream is to be able to take her family to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Florida …. My hope is to raise money for the things they ‘need’ and that God would bless this family and help also to get them to fulfill a dream- and give this amazing memory to her and her family!

Thank you for every single prayer, thought and penny! This means SO much, to SO many.
