Looking for help

Hi my name is Jennifer Clapp and I am raising money for Melissa Brown. She unexpectedly lost her daughter suddenly, and we are looking to help ease the burden on her family. Dealing with such a traumatic loss is the most difficult thing parents can go through and I hope we can show her a little compassion to help them get through this. All of the money will go directly to Melissa to help cover expenses.
Let me tell you a little bit about Taylor, Taylor Ann Brown (17) of Seneca Falls passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y., surrounded by her loving family. Taylor was a 2023 graduate of Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls, and had plans to pursue a career in nursing with an emphasis in trauma nursing, which she hoped would allow her to become a Mercy Flight nurse. Upon graduation, Taylor was honored with awards, including the New York State Assembly Certificate of Merit and the Seneca Falls Workforce/Trade Award, as well as receiving her Advanced Regents Diploma and NYS Career Development and Occupational Studies Commencement Credential. Taylor was also awarded the Norman J. and Anna B. Gould Scholarship, contributing to her educational journey. She had recently become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) through Finger Lakes Technical Career Center (FLTCC) in Stanley, N.Y., where she was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. Taylor's dedication to her education allowed her to achieve this while concurrently attending to her junior and senior year high school coursework, as well attending college courses through Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC). She had completed all but 15 credits of her general education requirements toward an Associate Degree in Nursing. Although too humble to admit it, Taylor was known by her loved ones to be wise beyond her years. In her senior year she attended classes at FLTCC, Mynderse Academy, and FLCC, often all in a single day, in addition to working two jobs. In May of 2022, Taylor began working for a food service company, whose owner she affectionately called a "grumpy BBQ peddler," and enjoyed the time she spent working with the people there. In addition, that May, she acquired a second job working at Huntington Long Term Care Facility in Waterloo in their food service division. She had accepted a position as a CNA at Clifton Springs Long Term Care facility, and was due to begin her tenure there on July 10. Taylor's dream was to build a career in which her compassionate nature would bring healing and comfort to those who were suffering. She cared deeply for others, and dedicated her life to caring for those who were ill or injured. Taylor's compassion for others extends even in her death, as she had chosen to be an organ donor; wishes which were honored by her parents. Taylor is survived by her parents, Stephen and Melissa (Brand) Brown; her brother, Jackson Brown; maternal grandparents, Daniel and Pamela (Doverspike) Brand, and paternal grandparents, Larry and Jaqueline (Corkins) Brown, all of Seneca Falls; nine aunts and uncles, Daniel and Katie Brand of Seneca Falls, Andrew Brand (Allie) of Fulton, N.Y., Nicholas Brand (Justine) of Waterloo, N.Y., Larry and Jamie Brown of Honeoye Falls, N.Y., and Jeremy Brown of Clearwater, Fla.; three cousins, Vivienne Brown of Honeoye Falls, N.Y., and Aubrey and Paxton Brand of Queenstown, Md.; two great-grandmothers, Marjorie (Anne) Brand of Seneca Falls and Shirley Doverspike of Waterloo, N.Y.; and numerous great-aunts and great-uncles.
In addition to her loving family, Taylor is deeply missed by her loyal canine companion, Mildred Vanilla, who often comforted her during her many struggles. Millie, always in tune with Taylor's emotions, would climb onto her, not leaving her side, until she was calm. Taylor wanted Millie to be registered as an emotional support animal to help her and others. This wish will be honored.
Taylor's vivacious presence will forever be missed. The memory of her selfless compassion, her boundless love for others, her enduring wit and humor, and her glorious smile will live on through her loving family.
