Loving memory of Lorrie Mukirazi

Our dear friend Lorrie unexpectedly passed Friday 8 November, 2024 in Nanaimo, BC.

Originally from Kenya, she came to Canada as a student and studied accounting, she

lived in Vancouver for many years before recently moving to Nanaimo. She managed to

create a life for herself that she was more enriched by as she had more freedom to

explore and spend time with the people she loved, both friends and family. Many of us

knew her as a vibrant soul, known for her love of travel and her ability to connect with

people from all walks of life. Her warm spirit and willingness to help those around her

left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Lorrie is survived by her mother and younger brothers who all live in Kenya, and they

are heartbroken by her sudden loss. She was living in Nanaimo with her cousin at the

time of her passing.

Any contributions received will go towards a Celebration of Life service to honour and

remember Lorrie’s life, visa and flight expenses for her mother, aunt and younger

brother who are coming in from Kenya to Canada as well as their stay here so that it

may be as easeful as possible.
