UW Design, Build Fly
About Us:
UW DBF is raising funds to contribute to this year's budgetary needs for the construction of an RC aircraft and for travel to the AIAA Design Build Fly Flyoff in April. As an organization, UW DBF allows undergraduates from all fields of interest and all levels of experience to participate in the design, construction, and testing of a new airframe to meet annual competition requirements. 
Students are able to both explore an interest in aerospace and are provided the opportunity develop the skills and experiences that will benefit their collegiate experiences and future careers. A range of fields come together, from aerodynamics, to structures, to electronics, to business.
The team and its corresponding budget are broken down into several sub-teams, including Wing, Fuselage, Controls & Propulsion, and Research. Funds primarily go to travel and manufacturing expenses, supporting our ability to create and compete with a innovative design for this year's competition.
