SMILE CHRISTMAS TREE 2021

 

 

Since 1989 SMILE - our neighborhood association - and a dedicated group of neighbors and businesses have put on a spectacular lighting of the Christmas tree on SE 13th Aveenue on the bluff above Oaks Bottom. The tree is visible from many vantage points in inner SE Portland and the West Hills. This event revived the lighting of the same tree from the early 1960's that ended in 1974.

 

We have been able to do this through the generous donations of time and money from SMILE local businesses like Heiberg Garbage & Recycling, Beeson Wellness Center and Treecology Tree Service-, as well as many local families- the Hainleys, Boltons, Laxs, Fyres and Edwards.

 

We'd love to add your name to the list of people who make this event happen.

 

And come help us start off the Christmas Holiday Season with some caroling at the tree lighting on Monday November 29th at 6:30 pm.
