Medical expenses for Hazel

Hello everyone, I'm Serena. I've created this gofundme in hopes of getting help with medical expenses for my child. My Hazel has mitral valve prolapse, which is a defect of the heart. She began having severe pains in her chest and I thought it was related to her heart condition. I took her to emergency by ambulance. Come to find out her anemia is now causing her hemoglobin to be dangerously low and causing her bones to become brittle. We were told she needs to be drinking 6 bottles of ensure high protein every day, because her body has been rejecting the iron medications and causing her stomach to become rock hard. She also will need blood transfusions. The ensures are $15 for a case of 6, totaling $420 per month. The hospital she is required to have her transfusions at (Mcmaster Childrens Hospital), is a $25 cab ride, one way. Because we don't have a family doctor, none of this can be covered. I am on a fixed income and it barely covers our rent. I am here asking for some help, so that we can begin her treatment. When she starts her transfusions, we will be required to spend the night in the hospital as well. If you are able to help by donating, we would be extremely grateful.
