Boozhoo, Sekoli, Posho [Hello ]UW-Madison campus and Community, We are Wunk Sheek the Native American Student Organization at UW Madison .
As you may know the indigenous and non-indigneous communities all across the world have been gathering in Cannon Ball, North Dakota to help protect the water and sacred land that is being threatended by the creation of the Dakota Access pipeline.
As the weather continues to drop and the companies, morton country sheriff departments continues to used tear gas, dogs, water hoses, etc... to remove the water protectors, the Native Students at UW would like to continue to collect money to give to Standing Rock, so that they can continue to care fo the water protectos basic needs such as restroom facilities, food, and winter supplies.
This is not just a Native "thing" this is a fight for clean water and sovereignty. #WaterIsLife #MniWiconi #NoDAPL #StandWithStandingRock
