Help Andi Get Back on Her Feet

Hello everyone, my name is Trenton Fines. I am fundraising for my mother, Andrea Fines, who has been battling multiple health issues since January 27, 2021.

 

This health journey began with symptoms such as fatigue, swollen / painful throat and uvula, which were also covered in white patches. She consulted her PCP and was diagnosed with a throat infection. She was prescribed a round of antibiotics, then another when the first round did not ease her symptoms. When the second round of antibiotics did not work, she went to an Urgent Care and got tested for Strep Throat, which came back negative.

 

On March 5, 2021, she officially received a diagnosis of the Epstein-Barr virus, which never seemed to clear up.

 

Aside from her PCP and her Urgent Care visit, she visited a Hematologist, Oncologist, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), G.I. (Gastrointestinal), Rheumatologist, and Infectious Disease Specialists. All of these doctors tried to diagnose my mother correctly by sending out for labs, and multiple ultrasounds and MRIs.

 

During this time, her symptoms progressed to where she was feeling body pain, exhaustion and weakness, cognitive issues, body and organ swelling, headaches, etc. She eventually had to take a Leave of Absence from her job with a medical corporation and go on Short Term Disability.

 

On November 24, 2021, she visited a Neurologist and received her final diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) / Fibromyalgia. Since there is currently no medicine to treat CFS, she has many prescriptions to treat her symptoms.

 

My mom’s short term disability only pays for 60% of her salary; and, with the doctor’s visits, prescription costs, and the cost of living, her bills are starting to pile up. I am asking if anyone is able that they help me get my mom back on her feet.
