Family of 5 Loses Everything in Fire After Thanksgiving
Donation protected
URGENT HELP NEEDED:
On November 29th at about 5 am in Colton California off of 9th street and E street, a fire engulfed our home. Firefighters arrived to a fully involved structure fire - the attic caught on fire and fell through. As they did their best to suppress the flames, 13 people in all were burned out of their homes which spread to two houses. By 5:30, both homes were a total loss.
On the outside the house seems a perfect shell, but on the inside it’s completely gone. My mother Citlalli Cruz, my brother Erick, my father Juan, and my grandmother Rebecca are all now suffering from the aftermath. Thankfully, we all escaped, but just with our lives and clothes on our back. We are very thankful to have each other and our dogs but still need the help to overcome the next steps.
Please considering helping us in any increment you feel comfortable with. $1, $2, $3. No donation is too small.
Any help, big or small, that you’re willing to support us with is a huge help that we will be depending on. My family has become homeless within the matter of minutes. Please help us make it through this unfortunate disaster.
My name is Maria Fernanda Cruz Vazquez and I am the daughter in the family. I am collecting the funds that you donate and giving it to my parents cover costs. The funds you donate will be used to buy clothing, basic hygiene material, a place to live, medical supplies, medical costs, and any unforseen costs associated to recovery of the family after a total loss after the house fire.

To All Our Friends in these New Times,
My mother contracted sepsis after the fire. It seems her system became intoxicated by all the chemical, lead, and ash in an open wound and it infected her: kidneys then her stomach then her intestines then her blood and.... she needs to be discharged and put in a safe and sterile environment. So our primary struggle right now is finding a long term place (or a short term place in the mean time).
Thank you to everyone who has donated. I see your names and I recognize some as long time friends and complete strangers alike have come foward to help and I send you my love. God willing and when I am in a stable conditions I'll make a Happy Potluck to celebrate making it through this. All of which has been with you help.
Thank you.
With love and thanks,
