Saipan Zoo Typhoon Relief Fund 2015

Donation protected
The Saipan Zoo is a locally owned private Zoo located in a village in the northern part of Saipan called As Mahetog. The Zoo features a variety of exotic animals, some local farm animals, and indigenous animals as well. We are home to three big cats: Lambert the Lion (10 years old), Tasha the Tiger (11 years old) and Ozzie the Leopard (11 years old).

On Sunday night, August 02, 2015, the island of Saipan was hit by Super Typhoon Soudelor, with winds gusting  near 200 mph. Because of the typhoon, the Zoo is in terrible shape. All animal enclosures and habitats were destroyed by uprooted trees. Most of the walk-way is obstructed by fallen trees, fallen branches and debris. The animals are all well and accounted for, but the obtaining and maintaining of water and feeds prove to be difficult.

The Zoo is in dire need of financial assistance to aid with the rebuilding of animal habitats and maintaining its daily feeds schedule. All donations will be greatly appreciated by the animals and staff of the Saipan Zoo!

Thank you, Si Yu'us Ma'ase and Oloomway!!
