Harper's Open Heart Surgery

Hi, my name is Haley Wilder and I am fundraising on behalf of my beautiful niece Harper Brosten. On November 16, 2022, Harper was born to loving parents Karmen and Casey. During Harper's first two weeks of life, it was discovered that she had a congenital heart defect: Double Outlet Right Ventricle heart defect with a Ventricular Septal defect. Harper would require open heart surgery to try and repair her heart. This heart condition will also require Harper to be seen by a cardiologist for the rest of her life. Our whole family was saddened by this news yet hopeful she would have a successful surgery.

On March 28, 2023, Harper will undergo open heart surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She will need to remain at Mayo for up to six weeks for recovery. Her parents and the wonderful staff at Mayo Clinic will be taking the best care of Harper during this time. We can't wait to welcome Harper back home!
