A cause I care about needs help
This year I am preparing for my Bat Mitzvah in May 2020. Part of my portion (section read from the Torah) is about charity and community and I wanted to do something that I enjoy but including a charitable meaning and involving my community at Queenswood, where the community is caring and generous. One of my many hobbies is swimming, which I have been doing since the age of 2. Therefore, I will be doing a sponsored swim, covering the distance of the English Channel – 21 MILES!!! To help me, I have my whole year group joining in to help raise money for Noah’s Ark Children’s hospice, a charity which provides support and care for seriously ill children and their families during what must be an awful time. Noah’s Ark currently provides in-home care for these children and, this summer, will open very own residential building in the heart of Barnet where those children can benefit from even more services and amenities. The money we raise could pay for a variety of services such as transport for the children to music therapy sessions, parents’ and children’s support groups. Anything donated will make a difference to these families’ lives and I would really appreciate it if you could please donate. Thank you, Jaye.
